What to expect
Prior to your course we will be sending a few emails. The first email will be a request for an acknowledgment form to be signed and returned by email. The second email will be sent leading up to the course and will contain course details and information on how to purchase a manual. The last email will be sent the night before the course to remind you to bring your government issues ID. Below is some of the details from those emails
The course is a combination of both theory and practical training with disabled firearms
Each course has both a theory and practical test. 80% is required to pass
Please remember to bring Government issued ID to your course.
Bring anything you may need for the day such as your reading glasses
I also recommend a pen and paper to take notes during the course.
There will have a lunch break where you can leave to get food or you are welcome to bring food with you.
The CFSC tends to be between 10 - 12 hours with breaks and exams and the CRFSC tends to be 8 - 10 hours.
I recommend bringing snack, water, coffee etc. to keep your energy up throughout the day
If you are late you may not be permitted to attend the class and will not receive a refund.
For the minors taking the course a parent or legal guardian will need to sign paperwork. Government photo ID is required to take the course for minors between 12 - 15 there are a few options
Government photo ID such as a passport
Birth Certificate and the parent/legal guardian with government issued photo ID
Birth Certificate plus photo Student ID

Tips for Success
Come to class well rested
Bring food and snacks to keep you fueled through out the day
Bring a pen and paper
depending on your learning style and needs, review the manual ahead of time
Arrive early to take a moment to relax before the day begins
During testing take your time and read the questions carefully
Participate in class discussions and review questions
